About Us

The Ottawa Golden Oldies Seniors’ Club is a self-governing organization under the joint sponsorship of the African Canadian Association of Ottawa (ACAO) and the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO). Membership is free and open to seniors (60+), residing in Ottawa and Canada’s National Capital region. The club is managed by a 6-member Advisory Committee chaired by the club Founder and Program Coordinator. The members of the Advisory Committee are: Godwin Ifedi, Founder & Program Coordinator (Chair); Jocelyn Constant; Aba Tsiagbey; Obasola Bamigbola; Yahi Tahibet, Sibylle Tsiamen and Clarisa Sherman.

Our mission is to: connect our members with existing programs and services for seniors in Ottawa and the national capital region; initiate new programs, projects, and activities to maintain their physical and mental health; and undertake other activities to reduce social isolation and enhance their general well-being.
